More than 110 students have gone on the trips since its return in 2016. Over eleven days the group visits seven National Parks and Monuments including the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, Tetons, and Theodore Roosevelt.
The group cooks their own meals, sleeps in tents, hike in the mountains, go white water rafting, visit the National Wildlife Art Museum, build relationships, and students can earn 1/2 of a credit in science or social studies on top of it by doing some coursework.
Because of the nature of the program and donations from the Ebert family, the only cost to students is rafting, less than $100. It is such a great opportunity for our students to travel, something that many of them do not get to do.
